Banco Chinchorro the atoll is 18 miles offshore from Xcalak and takes 1 1/2 hours to get there. Visits to Chinchorro are weather dependant rough water will cancel trips for that day. You can Dive and Snorkel at Chinchorro. Many areas have good snorkeling an easy swimming distance off the Dock at your Hotel. Or a great snorkeling option is to take a kayak out to the reef for a few hours. All the Hotels and Resorts will be happy to arrange activities you would like to enjoy on your Vacation...
